Also known as hindberry leaf, wild red raspberry leaf, reapberry leaf and Rubus idaeus leaf. Used for centuries for healthy pregnancy and delivery, menstrual irregularities, leucorrhoea and fevers. Raspberry-leaf tea appears to tone the uterine and pelvic muscles, and can be taken freely during the last three months of pregnancy. Popular in ancient Egypt and Greece, oregano was used both medicinally and for seasoning meats, fish, vegetables, and wines. The Greeks relied on it as a remedy for poisons, convulsions, and aching muscles, and Pliny (the Roman scholar) suggested it as an antidote for spider and scorpion bites. Saw palmetto is a small, palm-like plant found in swampy areas, and along the Atlantic coast of the United States. The fruit is a dark purple-to-black berry rich in fatty acids and phytosterols. It is used to promote prostate health. Saw Palmetto berry is commonly used as a diuretic to increase the flow of urine and to allow the body to remove excess water.
